Surrendered: Western Mass Homicide Suspect Moves From Most Wanted List To Jail

The wanted man who sparked a state-wide alert has given himself up after months of police searches, officials say.

Evdyeke Oniel Pabon Flores, a 21-year-old man wanted for murdering a man in Holyoke in December 2022, surrendered to police shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, according to the Massachusetts State Police. 

Police issued a state-wide alert for the Flores, who was believed to be armed and dangerous, on Wednesday, March 29, as reported by Daily Voice. He was added to the Massachusetts Most Wanted list on Thursday, April 6.

Flores was wanted on an active straight warrant, with full extradition, for the December 7, 2022 murder of 49-year-old Luis Ramos. 

Ramos was found lying face down in a backyard in in the area of Pine and Sargeant Streets in Holyoke suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

Investigators later determined that Ramos had fired more than 10 shots at Ramos. 

Flores was accompanied by his attorney when he surrendered at Holyoke District Court. Holyoke police arrived at the courthouse and took him to the police station to book and process him. He was then brought back to the courthouse where he was arraigned on the murder charge. 

Flores was held without bail. His bail for a separate, ongoing case in Chicopee District Court was revoked.
